do you have some questions?

I get asked so many questions on a daily basis and always try my best to answer them all as honestly as I can, to try and help this FAQ section will be a constant work in progress and I will continue to add to it as necessary. 

How long will my repair take?

This is always difficult to answer as the answer always depends on the type of repair it is and how many devices I already have waiting to be fixed on my bench. I always do my best to diagnose a device within 24 hours and keep you informed via WhatsApp. Most repairs are completed within 24 to 48 hours, unless I need to order parts or if it’s a complicated diagnostic repair. 

Do you offer a “While you wait” service?

Sadly I do not offer a while you wait service on any repair.  But I do offer out of hours pick up and collection (between 10am -10pm 7 days per week) 

Do you fix anything else?

YES!  I repair any brand of laptop windows or Mac, desktops or Imacs and game consoles. I will happily repair any device  that has a PCB board ( Motherboard / logicboard ) (( EXCEPT FOR … SEE BELOW))

Do you repair iPhones / Phones or Tablets or Ipads?

NO!  I do not work on any device that has been glued together! If you remove the board from said device I will happily repair it for you but will not disassemble any phone or tablet. 

Can you remove my password?

Maybe? Passwords and activation lock on Apple devices is an entire subject in itself. In a nut shell if you have a device with a password or lock made in 2018 or later nobody but Apple will remove this lock. If you are not sure get in touch!

Can you upgrade my Macbooks RAM / Hard drive?

Again this is not a yes/no answer all devices are different get in touch with your device details and I may be able to.

How do I get my device to you?

Get in touch, and if you are local, I will arrange a date and time convenient to you to drop it off, and I will send you the details for posting your device.

How do I look after my Mac once repaired. 

The same way you did before it was repaired as it will be as good as new once repaired, Unless you have had a battery replaced in which case I will provide advice on how to care for and get the best out of your new battery,

How do I contact you?

Whatsapp is the best way of contacting me as I will always respond within the hour if I am awake, but you can call, text or email me no problem.

How do I leave you a review?

How long will you hold my device after a repair?

When your device is ready to be collected I will speak with you via phone or Whatsapp, If after 6 months the device is not collected it will be sold on to recoup my costs. 

Do you deliver or collect?

Yes and No, I can and will deliver and collect device if you are unable to get to me depending on where you are located.

Do you sell Macbook spare parts?

I have in stock most parts for most macs on a component level. I can remove and reball chips ready to be used on request

Do you offer board level training?

No, due to how busy my life is, this is a service I just do not have the time to offer, but I’m  always happy to offer advice.

Can I return a refurbished macbook I purchased from you?

Yes. I will accept a return on any refurbished Mac within a 14 day purchase period if you are not happy with it. Or I will happily take back the Mac in part exchange for any other mac I have for sale at ANY time after the purchase.

Can you install software for me?

No. Other than Mac Os installs I do not offer software support of any sort
